Singapore has special regulations for vehicles that is unique to other countries. The Certificate of Entitlement (COE), this certificate gives car owners the right to register, own and use the vehicle within Singapore for 10 years. Upon expiry, car owners will have to decide whether to scrap the vehicle or renew their COE for another 5/10 years.
